Synopsis:
This show has been presented over twenty times since it was created in 2006. It was conceived and developed in accordance with the needs of the spaces where it was to be presented or simply by predetermined themes. This show combines original music with texts and may include the projection of images. Some of the themes presented were “The Great Lusonia” (Portuguese Text), specifically “Portugal”, “Africa”, “Brazil”, “Jazz Tales” which combined text for children with musical themes from Walt Disney, “Liberty” as well as a Christmas Theme. Hugo Alves, who is in charge of composition and musical direction, usually directs a quartet of musicians however this can be altered in order to be a duo (trumpet and guitar). Words and sounds can include music which can be more or less acoustic, more or less electronic, more or less improvised… the texts are selected and announced by Nelda Magalhăes, and are the inspirational flame for some the compositions. In the case where images are used, their selection, editing and projection is the responsibility of Sergio Condessa. It is a show which uses various medias and is adaptable various spaces and publics which include but are not confined to libraries, coffee shops/bares, auditoriums and book Fairs.
