hugo alves quartet & more
Synopsis:
So, it may not be a quartet after all!... This is a very versatile formation both in terms of the number of musicians and the variety in terms of repertoire. It has had great presentations at a number of events that range from outdoor concerts, auditoriums, café-concerts, book fairs among others. This group can provide various musical programs which include jazz-rock, Latin-jazz, hard-bop or standards. On stage Hugo Alves is joined by musicians Pedro Gil (POR) on Guitar and synthesized guitar, Duarte Costa (POR) on electric bass, José Ribeiro (POR) is the voice, and Filipe Sequeira (POR) on drums (the musicians may vary in accordance with programming needs). In it’s smallest form (quartet) the male voice may already be present, depending on the repertoire, and may also have other musical guests (female voice, saxophone, trombone…) and the formation may get to it’s biggest formation, a septet. This formation has performed on stage at Cultural Centres, Theatres, outdoor spaces and stages, FNAC music shops among many others.
